Hello Everyone,

Jai Shree Krishna.
As many of you know, our 2015 Vaishnav Convention is being held on August 7, 8, and 9 in Richmond, Virginia. A very dedicated and diverse set of volunteers from across the US have already and continue to put a lot of effort in planning and preparing to make convention a great success. Just to highlight some of the recent updates:
- 84 Divya Manoraths — For the first time ever, you will be able to experience 84 unique scenes depicting different “Lilas” of Shree Thakorji under one roof. Each darshan is exquisitely designed and hard-crafted. There is a team working very hard in Ahmedabad to build all 84 manoraths and get them ready for shipping to the convention.
- Shree Girirajji darshan and a chance to do praikrama with bethakji darshan.
- Food menu and caterer is finalized for the event. 
- Activities being designed for all age groups, including activities designed by the yuva vaishnavs volunteers for the youth. Some tentative activities include:
- Hands-on games and activities
- Rangoli competition
- Bhajan & Kirtan Sessions
- Seva & Shringar Shibir
- Youth networking, get to know sessions
- And much, much more
- Evening Entertainment programs
- Performances by VYO Centers and Youth
- Garba night
- Sugam Sangeet by Parthiv Gohil
- Bansuri Vadan
- Exhibitions
- Vendors are being locked-in to sell traditional Indian clothing, outfits, and jewelry 
- Pushtimargiya & Shree Thakorji Sahitya will be available for display and sale.
- Souvenir
- A book format to be handed out to each of the families attending. 
- A group of volunteers is working on the content and design to make this a memento that you will cherish forever.

            With immense grace of ShriNathji Prabhu and under the guidance and of our most beloved Yuva Vaishnavacharya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri, VYO SCRANTON would like to take this opportunity to wish you all VERY HAPPY DIWALI & A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!  Hope your all wishes come true in the year to come.

           

            Diwali is the festival of Joy and Lights which is celebrated by most of the the people in India or by Indians living abroad. Diwali is celebrated for different reasons in different part of the country. However, the main message behind all the reasons for celebrating Diwali is to get rid of darkness and bring our life back into the divine lightning. As we know, there's a specific purpose for everyone coming to this material world and it can be different for different people. For ie. some people have come just for enjoying the wealth and good life due to their good deeds. Where as, some have come to pay / experience the reality of the world which is due to their bad deeds. Like wise the main reason for a vaishnov coming to the world is to love and serve Lord Shrinathji. As vallabhkul always mention in their pravachans, we all are born with seeds of Vaishnovism. Its our duty to give proper food and water on time so these seeds can become fruitful tree, which can provide shelter and guidance to the people who are in pain and are lost in this material world. We all are very lucky to have guidance of Mahaprabhuji who shown us the right way for coming closer to Lord Shrinathji and feel his love and existence. 

            Saying that, let's all take a resolution to realize our duties towards vaishnovism and spread the divine message of our beloved Shri Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhuji to as many people as we can so the people who are lost in the material world can be brought back to the world of divine happiness. As they say, to help anyone, we need to first help ourselves. Which means we should first try to make ourselves pure so anyone comes closer to us become pure automatically. The only way to achieve this is staying continuously in touch of other vaishnovas and be a part of spiritual activities like Satsangs, Spiritual Meets etc. VYO is continuously working on providing the platform and guidance to the Vaishnovas, so they can achieve the divine goal of getting closure to Lord Shrinathji.

Ending up with the final wish to see more and more vaishnovas to be a part of our Monthly Spiritual Meets, Satsang and Utsav Celebrations.
